Privacy policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Aesthetic Haven, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Order details: sender name, phone number, email (optional), recipient name, delivery address, gift message, and the items ordered.
  • Payment information: for Mobile Money Guyana (MMG), payment is handled directly by MMG and we receive only the transaction reference and status — never your MMG credentials. For Direct Bank Deposit, we collect the bank reference number, the depositing account name (as it appears on your slip), and any proof of payment image you upload. For Cash on Delivery (pickup orders only), we record the cash amount received and the staff member who confirmed it. We do not store full bank account numbers beyond what appears on the proof you voluntarily submit.
  • Payment review records: for Direct Bank Deposit and pickup-COD, we keep an internal audit trail of who reviewed and verified each payment, when, and the outcome (verified, rejected, or flagged as a discrepancy). This is used for financial reconciliation, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • Account information (if you create an account): email, name and phone number.
  • Technical information: basic device and browser information needed to operate the website securely. Filter selections you make on the shop page (e.g. category, size, colour) are encoded in the page URL only — they are not tied to your account or used to build a profile of you.

How we use your information

  • To process your order and arrange delivery.
  • To share necessary details (recipient name, delivery address, phone number) with our courier partner so they can complete delivery.
  • To contact you about your order, respond to questions, or notify you of any issue.
  • To improve the website and prevent fraud.

Who we share information with

We share information only with parties who help us deliver your order:

  • Courier partner — to perform delivery.
  • Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) — to process MMG payments.
  • Our banking partner — for Direct Bank Deposit, we receive deposit notifications from our bank and may share your reference number with them to investigate or trace a deposit.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate the website securely.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share gift messages with anyone outside of completing your order.

Anonymous gifts

If you choose to send a gift anonymously, we will not include your name on the gift card or in any message shared with the recipient. The courier may still need to verify the recipient's identity at delivery.

Data retention

We retain order records for as long as needed to fulfil orders, comply with legal obligations, and support customers. You may request deletion of your account information at any time.

Your choices

  • You can decline to provide optional information (like email).
  • You can ask us to update or delete your personal information by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled storage. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
